As you may have started to notice, End Gamers isn’t just another gaming news magazine. What we’re really interested in is, well, you! One of the things that brought us together at the start of this project was a huge interest in and affinity for the gaming community, and it’s something we intend to focus on heavily.

Most gaming communities are relatively isolated, and while these may be huge groups of people, they are often focussed on a narrow area of interest. But what if you’re into MMOs and console games? What if you like to play tabletop games as well as first person shooters? Well, usually you end up finding separate communities for each interest, and if your interests are quite specific, finding the right community for you isn’t always easy. At End Gamers, we think it would be great if communities were more connected. It would save us all time, and enable us to meet more people who are interested in what we’re interested in.

Long term, we plan to make End Gamers a community hub, dedicated to events, news and discussion as well as bringing you useful game reviews and guides, and interesting industry and gaming news. Over the next few weeks and months we will be sending our reporters out into all corners of the gaming community to find forums and sites dedicated to what our readers are interested in. We’ll also be giving people a platform to advertise their events and projects and let people know that they’re there.

So how does this affect you? Well, if you belong to a gaming community of any sort, we want to hear about it! We’re interested in every genre of gaming, and in the longer term we will be building up a database of communities to make them easier for gamers to find. We hope that as well as supporting growing groups, we can make it easier for communities to get in touch with other groups of gamers who may be interested in their events.

We’re also looking to expand this site – a lot. We already have a wonderful growing team of writers who are settling in and starting to build the magazine up with their work, but we’re looking for more, and will be continuing to recruit staff indefinitely. We’re looking for people to write articles, reviews, news and game guides, as well as community representatives, reporters, artists, videobloggers, podcasters, forum moderators, web designers and anyone else who has a creative idea that works with our site concept. At the moment all we can offer is experience, exposure and a chance to add to your portfolio, but if you’re trying to get yourself out there as an artist or writer, we can help with that. If you’re interested in getting involved, drop us an email at submissions@end-gamers.com or visit this forum.

Speaking of forums, ours is really starting to grow, with new discussions starting every day. We have dedicated moderators and keep things friendly, so stop by and meet the crew! We even take requests – if you’re interested in something we don’t cover yet, let us know! We want this to be YOUR forum, and we hope it will grow alongside the magazine and become something that people will enjoy for a long time to come.
